Meat Blend
Ground Beef
1 1/2 lbs
Olive Oil
1 tbsp
Yellow Onion
1, finely chopped
Whole Carrots
2, finely diced
Fresh Celery
2 stalks, diced
Garlic Cloves
3, minced
Tomato Paste
1/4 cup
Dry Red Wine
1/2 cup
Eagle All-Purpose
2 tsp
Eagle Steak Seasoning
1 tsp
Whole Milk
1/2 cup
Ground Italian Sausage
1 lb
Directions
1
In a large pot or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and 1 lb ground Italian sausage. Cook until browned, breaking the meat into small pieces as it cooks.
2
Mix in your onions, carrots, and celery. Cook for about 6 minutes until these vegetables are tender and the onions appear clear.
3
Throw in garlic and tomato paste. Stir constantly for 2 minutes to darken the paste and release its deep, savory aroma.
4
Dust the pot with Eagle All-Purpose and Steak Seasoning. Toss well to ensure the meat and vegetable blend is fully coated in bold spice.
5
Add the beef broth and crushed tomatoes. Increase heat to boil, then immediately turn it down for a slow simmer.
6
Cover and cook for 45 minutes,, I cook mine overnight using a beef pot roast, stirring once in a while so that the signature Eagle spices can properly infuse the thick, hearty tomato base.
7
Prepare your pasta, Pappardelle in boiling water following the box directions for al dente; strain it.
8
Ladle the hot meat sauce over the pasta. Top with chopped parsley and a dusting of Parmesan cheese for the finish.
